Description

Relight srl is a private company founded in 1999 for the collection and treatment of electrical and electronic equipment waste (WEEE). Main customers are collective schemes, communities and private companies. The integrated approach of Relight, that both provides a collection and a full treatment service gives the customers an efficient service where all the steps are controlled and performed at high quality level (Relight is ISO14001 certificated and EMAS registered since 2005). Since the beginning the main aim of Relight activities is to close the loop and find solutions for the recycling of the different fractions that constitute a WEEE, trying to reach the "end of waste" status for critical fractions.

RELIGHT and Raw Materials

Relight has a constant attention to the development of new technologies for the treatment of WEEEs and to the research about innovative applications for the recycling of fractions and the recovery of Critical Raw Materials. The collaboration with European partners, companies and recyclers of Italian and foreign research institutions, has allowed Relight to become one of the first Italian companies in the WEEE Italian recycling industry.

Relight is therefore fully involved in research and development, especially in the FP7 and H2020 framework of the European Commission, in particular:

• HydroWEEE Demo: Innovative Hydrometallurgical Processes to recover Metals from WEEE including lamps and batteries - Demonstration
• Illuminate: Automated Sorting and Recycling of Waste Lamps
• Reclaim: Reclamation of Gallium, Indium and Rare-Earth Elements form Photovoltaics, solid state lighting and electronic waste
• Remaghic: New Recovery Processes to produce Rare Earth -Magnesium Alloys of High Performance and Low Cost
